Because The World Isn't a Nice Place

I've learnt that overtime, somewhere during the course of our lives we all become selfish people, toughen by the society. To protect ourselves we'd throw in the towel, close our doors and instead rely on our survival instinct, choosing to forsake hope so that we'd not stumble again. Life all of a sudden, does not seem so surprising after some time.
